Pakistan records 105 deaths in last 24 hours, taking total to 2,172

The COVID-19 death toll jumped to 2,172 in the country after 105 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

According to the national dashboard on virus, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 587 deaths, 683 in Punjab, a highest number as compared to any other province while 679 in Sindh14 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 54 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 52 deaths and AJK recorded nine deaths.
Pakistan has so far carried out 730,453 corona tests and 24,620 in last 24 hours and the number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Pakistan has reached 108,317 on Tuesday after 1,447 new cases were reported in Sindh, 456 in Islamabad and 16 new cases in AJK.
Coronavirus infections tally in Punjab mounted to 40,819, the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed cases in Sindh stood at 39,555, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases rose to 14,006, in Balochistan 6,788 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases jumped to 5,785, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 952, while 412 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
As per NCOC, 35,018 patients have recovered across Pakistan while many patients are in a critical condition.
