Coronavirus: 50-bed isolation center established in Islamabad


A 50-bed Isolation Center has been set up in the federal capital Islamabad in view of coronavirus outbreak.
According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated coronavirus isolation centre in Islamabad today (Thursday) where he was briefed about the facilities at the 50-bed centre by Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal.
The Prime Minister reviewed the arrangements of the coronavirus isolation center, the Chinese ambassador was also accompanied by premier on the occasion.
It is to be noted that there is lockdown in all four provinces including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir to curb the spread of coronavirus across the country.
Inter-city transport between the provinces is also suspended.
A nationwide train service has also been suspended till March 31 to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in Pakistan.
The number of corona cases in the country has risen to 1102 while 8 people have died and 21 have recovered.
417 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Sindh, 131 in Balochistan, 323 in Punjab, 121 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 84 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 25 in Islamabad and one in Azad Kashmir.
