Coronavirus takes 67 more lives in Pakistan, bringing countrywide tally to 1,688



The COVID-19 death toll jumped to 1,688 in the country after 67 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. 
According to the national dashboard on virus, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 490 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province, 570 in Punjab, 526 in Sindh, 12 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 49 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 34 deaths and AJK recorded seven deaths. 
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 547,030 corona tests and 14,972 in last 24 hours and the number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Pakistan has reached 80,463. 
Coronavirus tally in Sindh mounted to 31,086, the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 29,489, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases rose to 10,027, in Balochistan 4,740 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases jumped to 3,188, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 779, while 284 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
As per official data, 25,271 patients have recovered across Pakistan while many patients are in a critical condition.
