Four
more localities in Larkana have been sealed by the administration on Thursday
after local transmission of coronavirus cases spiked in the city.
According to details, the
areas of Ali Goharabad, Samiabad, Samtia Road and Kafla Sirai have been sealed.
Streets and the roads coming to the said areas have been sealed by placing
tents.
Heavy contingents of
police have also been deployed in the sealed areas to ensure complete lockdown.
It is to be noted that,
three areas of the city Darri, Nawan Mohallah and Bakrani are already
completely sealed due to the pandemic.
No body is allowed to
visit the theses sealed areas, as the corona infected tally has climbed to 21
as compared to 14 yesterday.
The number of confirmed
cases in the country has mounted to 10,513 on Thursday after 742 more
infections were reported in different parts of the country today.
The national database on
coronavirus showed that, cases in Punjab jumped to 4,590 the highest number so
far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Sindh stood at
3,373, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases climbed to 1,453, in Balochistan 552 cases
reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases climbed to 204,
Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 290, while 51 cases were reported in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir (AJK).
According to official
data, 2,337 patients have recovered across Pakistan while 58 corona patients
are in critical condition.
The deadly virus claimed
15 lives in the last 24 hours, bringing the national death toll rose to 224.
