Pakistan Coronavirus infected tally Crosses 500

The coronavirus patients in Pakistan have risen to 501 as more cases reported from different parts of the country. 

According to detials, 252 corona cases reported in Sindh while in Punjab 96, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 23, Balochistan 92, Islamabad Capital Territory 07, Gilgit-Baltistan 30, AJK 01 and three deaths were reported so far in the country, first two fatalities in Mardan and Hangu of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one other in Karachi, Sindh.

A day earlier, Sindh has reported its first death from COVID-19.
Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho has confirmed the death of a 77 year old coronavirus patient in the province.

The minister added that the patient was a cancer survivor and had diabetes and hypertension when he contracted the virus and he was too weak due to diseases.

She added that the patient did not have any travel or contact history. The minister said that the patient had died last night, was a resident of Karachi.

She further said that the instructions have been issued to take care of the older people in the house.
Earlier today, The authorities at Karachi Airport have commenced screening of the domestic passengers, a spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Authority said on Saturday.

According to the CAA official, all the passengers will be checked for COVID-19 symptoms at the departure lounge.

Remember that, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has appealed to the public to voluntarily isolate themselves for the next three days.

During the 23rd meeting of the provincial task force on coronavirus, Shah said, "The time has come to demonstrate a responsible attitude by observing voluntary social distancing, and this is only possible when we all choose to remain at home." 

People should go into complete isolation for three days. "It is important for people to remain inside their homes" for themselves and other's safety. 

On the other side, Saeed Ghani said that the news about the curfew in Karachi on social media was wrong. No such decision has been made but the public is only appealing to stay at home.

People should stay at home on public holidays of Saturday, Sunday and Pakistan Day and refrain from leaving their homes during these holidays, he added.
It is to be noted that, globally, 176 countries have been affected, over 10,000 people have died and more than 245,000 infected by the coronavirus.
