Shopping malls, restaurants, parks, other public places closed in Sindh

Shopping malls, retaurants, public parks, electronic markets, centers, clothing, furniture markets have been closed across Sindh from today (Wednesday) for 15 days after the Sindh government imposed more restrictions on the movement in an attempt to contain the coronavirus outbreak in the province. 

According to media reports, the directives issued by the Sindh government stated that all restaurants, tea hotels, shopping malls, Seaviews, parks, auto parts shops, clothing shops, furniture markets and all the Out-Patient Departments (OPDs) at public hospitals in the province will be closed for 15 days except for essential services. 

According to the directives, vegetable and fruit shops and markets, medical stores, rations, meat shops, milk shops will remain open 24 hours while restaurants are banned from eating but home delivery from food items from restuarants will be allowed. 

Sindh government offices and intra-city bus services will be closed from tomorrow.
Chief Minister Sindh said that we want to save people in homes, in the meantime K-electric will provide uninterrupted electricity.

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah announced to release worth Rs 3 billion funds for coronavirus, in which one, one month salary of the provincial cabinet will be collected while funds will be taken from the salaries of government employees.

The Sindh chief minister announced the closure of shopping malls, restaurants, public parks and offices while presiding over the 20th meeting of Task Force on Coronavirus here at the CM House. 

It is to be noted that, the nationwide tally of coronavirus cases has risen to 245 after new patients were reported from Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday. 

The cases of COVID-19 in Sindh 172, Punjab 34, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 16, Balochistan 16, Islamabad Capital Territory 4, Gilgit-Baltistan 3.
